BtVS watcher since:
1997, Welcome to the Hellmouth, Season 1.
-
Hanging out at the ATPoBtVS Posting board since:
February after Hells Bells. First Post was Dawn, Buffy's Inner Child, 2/2002
-
Origin of posting name:
shadowkat comes from the Xman comic book character Kitty Pryde's alias: shadowkat. Actually I just like the name and everything else I tried online was taken. My own name tends to be pretty popular.

Age / species / day-job:
35, female, just quit my job (if you want to know why? read old posts) so currently unemployed. I used to negotiate contracts and clear copyrights and register trademarks, sort of a copyright specialist, also a writer. If you know of any openings? Let me know.

Most memorable BtVS/AtS quote:
"I would but I'm paralyzed with not caring very much." - Spike from Triangle
-
Favorite philosopher:
Haven't decided yet... will let you know in a few years.
-
TTMQ:
10 - definitely.

Strangest thread topic ever posted:
The Biological Preference post by Cooper that got everyone riled up. And Spike's taste in music. Oh and Boke's weird quotes.
-
Coolest thread topic ever posted:
There's been too many to come up with just one. I loved the Courtly Love thread on the Misogyny post and Leslie's post on Monster in the Man, the demon posting opinion thread, the funniest was D'Horrible's recent review of Help, and the one I started ages ago on Angel/Spike restraining the Monster.

Why I love this board more than unlife itself:
The intellectual discussion, the different points of view, the friendliness of the posters, the humor (I mean where else can I find someone who posts on the historical significance of William Godwin, the culture of Hawaii, the history of Calvinism, and Istanbul, the Crimean War, Existentialism, Post-Modernism, and cultural evolution as well as vampires, Buffy and the meaning of life?). It's more than a fan board, it's an intellectual discussion group that crosses cultural and ethnic boundaries with members from around the world.
