  • Origin of posting name: My posting name reflects my Irish roots. It's the tree associated with my birth month in the Celtic Tree Calendar.

    It reminds me of Dorothy L. Sayers. Peter, in Busman's Honeymoon: "Surely it is possible to love with the head as well as the heart?" Uncle Paul: "No doubt; so long as you do not end by thinking with your entrails instead of your brain."
  • Favorite philosopher: My favorite philosopher is Spike, of course. All the wisdom of the world is contained within his speeches. I like my chewy philosophical caramel covered with a creamy coating of literary chocolate.
