  • Hanging out at the ATPoBtVS Posting board since: Started seriously lurking in the fall of 2001, thanks to Rowan’s essays on Smashed and Wrecked. First posted January 2002.
  • Origin of posting name: "Do it for Johnny!" My name comes from Ponyboy in The Outsiders both book and movie.
  • Age / species / day-job: 31 / humanish Canadian person / write for the Web, but know nothing about computers.
  • Most memorable BtVS/AtS quote: "I get that," no actually that’s my least-fave. There are too many speeches to list,
    but I find myself using Willow’s, "We don’t have cable, so we have to make our fun," pretty often,
    also Giles’ "It’s alright, I have more Scotch," makes me laugh every time I hear it.
    For more serious quotes, I like Whistler’s line in Becoming 2, "In the end, you’re always by yourself. You’re all you got – that’s the point."
  • Favorite philosopher: If we define philosopher as someone who thinks about life and wisdom, then I’d have to say the people on this board.

  • Strangest thread topic ever posted: I did manage to quietly post about the fascist and patriarchal nature of the Smurfs.

  • Why I love this board more than unlife itself: There’s the reading list I have of board recommendations, the episodes that have changed for me after reading the discussions here, the kindness of the people here. Then there’s the real sense of my brain shifting and stretching and growing as I read the posts here and try to express my own thoughts.
