OnM
  • BtVS watcher since: BtVS watcher since Season One, Ep One. I was one of those strange pervs who actually liked the movie, and while I was skeptical that the concept could be made to work as a TV series, I tuned in anyhow. At the end of the premiere, I was just left doing the Keanu thing... Woah! Have only missed one ep since that time in the last five seasons.
  • Hanging out at the ATPoBtVS Posting board since: June 2000. Started posting around July, I think, maybe August. Intimidated somewhat at first, but was too fascinated to discover that there were actually people out there who actually thought like me re: Buffy.
  • Origin of posting name: OnM is a contraction for 'Objects In Mirror'. It was the name of a (mythical) psychedelic band I would have had should I actually have been born with any musical talent! The 'objects in mirror' reference comes from the words printed on virtually every side view mirror on virtually every car for the last couple decades. When I first read them, I thought, 'Hummm, that's certainly true'... Of course, they were thinking about other cars, and I wasn't. See #7.
  • Age / species / day-job: I'm 47 / male / mostly human, and by day I'm an electronics service tech and system designer at a southeastern PA independent audio/video shop.
  • Most memorable BtVS/AtS quote: There are so many! But the one that still sums up the whole show in the shortest number of words still has to be "I may be dead, but I'm still pretty" from Prophecy Girl. Bookending that one might be (from 'The Gift')-- "[Boy]: But.. you're just a girl! / [Buffy]: That's what I keep saying..."
  • Favorite philosopher: Charles M. Shultz. Bless you, Sparky...
  • TTMQ: Well, this would normally be 11, but since it would be rude to upstage the Webmistress, I'll settle for 9.995.
  • Strangest thread topic ever posted: Until recently, it would have likely been the one on the philosophy of Buffy's hairstyles, but just recently there was one on her fingernail polish. If I picked one of my own, it undoubtably would have to be the Buffy as Kwisatz Haderach post. What can I say? I dunnit anyway...
  • Coolest thread topic ever posted: The one that got me started on posting, a thread by Buddhist poster Ryuei on 'The Law of Cause and Effect'. Just blew my mind, and I had to join in from then on.
  • Why I love this board more than unlife itself: Read #1 thru #9 again. Praise be to my fellow Buffyfreaks! 'Nuff said!

Read OnM's character analysis of Riley.
