    I hadn't been posting long, when someone quoted at me: Buffy: Speak English, not whatever they speak in, um... Giles: England? I wouldn't mind, but that was on the BBC board..
    I've also had: 'I think I speak for everyone here when I say, 'Huh?''
    I think maybe I have some ..um.. communications issues. Anyway, I picked up on the Giles connection.

    'Slayer!' 'Slayee!' sticks in my mind. Also 'Whoa! Backing up here!' for some reason

    had to think. Brought up a scientific materialist, so I suppose Descartes? Much taken with the Mahabharata, that's Viyasa, I guess. I liked Rob M Pirsig's Zen and the Art etc, and his stuff on quality and the thinginess of things. Douglas Adams (I don't know if he counts).

    archives on s6, and essays, especially around Smashed/Wrecked/Gone, which started me off looking for other opinions and reactions in the first place. Rowan's esp. but lots of others
