BtVS watcher since:
season 2, sometime after angel goes bad, but I particularly remember watching the season’s finale where she sends him to hell, wondering what this was all about. I started watching at the insistence of a friend of my wife’s. Now, we both thank her heartily for her good recommendation

Hanging out at the ATPoBtVS Posting board since:
around the end of season 4 I think. I had become a definite diehard fan by then and regularly checked out the web generally and somehow stumbled on it and was amazed at what I’d found.
-
Origin of posting name:
I almost always use either dfrisby or frisby for everything (given my name is David Frisby). I had considered posting under “The Nietzschean.”
-
Age / species / day-job:
I’m 51, male, and the coordinator for the IUPUI Faculty Council.
-
Most memorable BtVS/AtS quote:
Buffy says to Riley, “for you this is an adventure but for me its destiny.”
-
Favorite philosopher:
Nietzsche, or perhaps Plato, depending, but Bacon is not far behind (my 20th century teachers as regards those philosophers are Martin Heidegger, Leo Strauss, and George Grant).
-
TTMQ:
My TTMQ is likely a 7 (too much thought stifles action).
-
Strangest thread topic ever posted:
Maybe some related to uberbuffy (4.21)?
-
Coolest thread topic ever posted:
I think those from the 7.1 episode where Buffy says “it’s about power.”
-
Why I love this board more than unlife iotself:
It combines two of my favorite discussion topics, Buffy and philosophy.
