BtVS watcher since:
"Nightmares". I watched Season 2 but then opted out of most of Season 3, which is still my least favorite season, philosophically speaking. I've watched A:tS since its premiere.
-
Hanging out at the ATPoBtVS Posting board since:
December 2000.
-
Origin of posting name:
I have a BA in French, an MA in English literature and live in a very bilingual city, Montréal. I figured that, since Aliénor d'Aquitaine divided her adult life between a French and an English king, the name would be appropriate. The province of Aquitaine is also a very beautiful region of France, the source of Aliénor's power and/or political desirability, and was one of the places where minstrels and troubadours forged and immortalised the age of chivalry with their words. Romance, literature, power - what more do you want?

Age / species / day-job:
I'm a female writer/editor, as old as the Apollo 11 trip to the Moon.
-
Most memorable BtVS/AtS quote:
Spike speaking about having a plan, a good plan, but getting bored in the A:tS episode, "In the Dark". At that moment, the Buffyverse tilted into the adult world, IMO. Also, boredom is a powerful source of creativity and change.

Favorite philosopher:
A composite of Hegel, Heidegger and Walter Benjamin!
-
TTMQ:
Not all that high actually, about a 7

Strangest thread topic ever posted:
There are too many from which to choose! We are a strange lot.
-
Coolest thread topic ever posted:
Whichever thread spawned the CDCW! I seem to recall it being an "Angel and Sartre" thread...
-
Why I love this board more than unlife itself:
Because of the beautiful, polite and erudite posters and Masquerade's even-handed treatment of posters and material.
Read Aquitaine's character analysis of
Spike.
