Because of her moral compass, Buffy enjoys ethical control
over Spike. Despite Spike’s insights into the human heart and his
reforming behavior, Buffy still has the moral high ground. Her comments
last night about him being not a man, but an evil thing reinforce that,
and again, those comments have been an ongoing theme.
